Purchase Requests and Approvals
Learn how Editors and Trackers can request purchases and how Managers can approve them.
Only users with Owner or Manager level permissions can send purchase orders directly.
However, Tookstock allows users with Editor and Tracker permissions to request purchases from an approving manager for one or more locations.
Requesting a Purchase (Editors and Trackers)
From either the web or mobile app:
- Navigate to the Shopping Cart.
- Instead of a Go to Checkout button, Editors and Trackers will see a Request Purchase button.
- Click Request Purchase.
- A dialog will appear with a list of approving managers.
- Select an approver and press Send Request.
- An email notification will be sent to the chosen approver.
Receiving and Approving a Request (Owners and Managers)
- The emailed purchase request will include:
- The user making the request
- The location(s) included in the request
- The subtotal for the order
- The email will contain a View Cart link.
- Clicking this link will open the Shopping Cart on the website with only the requested locations pre-selected.
- The approving manager can then:
- Edit the cart as needed
- Proceed to Checkout and send the purchase order
